Frequently Asked Questions
What time will Blue Men Moving LLC arrive the day of the move?
For the majority of our moves, we leave our office at 8 a.m. This time can be changed to accommodate our customers. The day prior to the move, a time will be set which to arrive at your home or business. If the movers arrive 30 minutes past this predetermined time, a deduction of 10% will be taken from the total bill.
When do we pay for the move?
Since the cost of the move is based on an hourly rate, payment is made at the conclusion of the move.
Is there a deposit required?
Yes, to secure a move date we require a $50 deposit per truck which will be deducted from the total cost of the move.
Do you charge for fuel?
Yes, our fuel charges are per truck:
30 miles or less total trip $10
30 miles to 60 miles total trip $20
60 miles to 90 miles total trip $30
Greater than 90 miles total trip $.50 per mile
Do we need to empty dresser drawers?
We recommend that you do, but you do not have to. The reduced weight makes the dresser much easier to maneuver around tight corners and narrow doorways, decreasing the possibility of damage. But, if the dresser is structurally sound to be lifted and maneuvered with the extra weight, it can be moved with items in the drawers.
Do the movers accept tips?
Yes, if you feel your movers did a good job and you would like to give a tip, it would be very much appreciated.
What happens if the weather is bad the day of my move?
We move in all weather. If weather is extremely bad the day of the move, either party has the right to cancel or reschedule the move. We try very hard to meet the needs of our customers, but if the weather posses a safety risk to our movers, we hold the right to reschedule the move.
